Flipkart is one of India’s largest ecommerce companies. It’s a local Amazon rival that started like its US-based peer: initially focusing on books before branching out into other product categories.
Since its launch in 2007, Flipkart has grown to offer 80 million products across over 80 categories on its platform, according to its website.
In 2018, Flipkart and Walmart closed a US$16 billion, making the US-based retail major the largest shareholder in the Indian firm.
Here is the presentation Walmart used to help seal the deal.
