Mural is a digital workspace for visual collaboration where users can create diagrams, flow charts, and maps and work alongside teammates, clients, and customers.
The platform provides various templates including a simple architecture diagram that helps developers visualize the structure of their system or application to ensure it meets their users’ needs. It also offers process flowchart templates, workflow templates, and a planning template, among others.
Companies including IBM, GitHub, Zapier, ThoughtWorks, Atlassian, Capco, User Testing, and Autodesk have adopted the company’s visual collaboration services.
Mural used this pitch deck to secure series A funding at the 500 Startups Demo Day.
Fundraising journey
- 2012: US$650,000 in seed funding from Intel Capital, Alta Ventures, 500 Startups, and various angel investors
- 2016: Over US$1.3 million in a second round of seed funding from Alta Ventures, NXTP Labs, Intel Capital, Collaborative Fund, and 500 Startups
- January 2020: US$23 million in series A funding led by Radian Capital, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst and Gradient Ventures
- August 2020: US$118 million in series B funding led by Insight Partners, with participation from Tiger Global, Slack Fund, World Innovation Lab, and Gradient Ventures
