Melodics is a New Zealand-based startup that helps users learn how to play musical instruments with confidence through its desktop app.

Founded in 2015 by Sam Gribben, an advisor to US-based electronic drums creator Sunhouse, the Melodics app adapts to users’ abilities and musical tastes to help them get better at keys, pad controllers, and e-drums.

The startup used this deck to secure its seed funding.

• 2017: US$1.2 million of seed funding from 500 Startups, Tuhua Ventures, and K1W1, as well as from Alex Rigopulos, founder of music gaming studio Harmonix
