ABOUT
Lucy is a mobile app that provides financial support for women entrepreneurs. It leverages machine learning and data analytics to truly “know” its customers, and accepts requests that traditional banks would reject.
According to Lucy CEO Debbie Watkins, one of the reasons that women-owned firms are smaller than companies owned by men is that they often get turned down for credit.
Lucy will be officially launched in Singapore in early 2021. Its services will range from safekeeping and savings to remittances and credit.
The company used this pitch deck and raised US$365,787 in a recent pre-seed round from 18 women investors.
Fundraising journey
- 2020: a total of US$731,575 pre-seed round from angel investors.
How is the deck compelling?

- The deck also points out Lucy’s launch plan while also providing numbers that prove how its business will be beneficial and flourishing.
- The last slide of the deck features an impactful verse to remind the audience of Lucy’s mission.
