Hawaya, previously known as Harmonica, is a dating platform tailored for Muslim singles.
Created in Egypt in 2017, Hawaya is “Muslim dating done right” by focusing on “love, respect, and shared values.” The app has features such as an exclusive mode that lets users chat with only their match, and a guardian mode that lets users share their activity with a trusted person. It also provides better matches and flexibility for premium users.
Hawaya used this pitch deck in a 500 Startups Demo Day in 2018, where it receive seed funding. A year later, it was acquired by US-based online dating firm Match Group.
