Empowering founders: A case study on how Aspire pursued its mission at TIA Conference

Tech in Asia’s mission has always been to build and serve Asia’s tech and startup community. So we’re very excited every time we get to work with partners that have similar goals. After all, it’s a chance to come together and work on something that’s greater than the sum of our respective parts.
That was the case with Aspire. Established in 2018, the fintech company focuses on providing finance solutions for growing businesses, including multicurrency accounts and cards, expense management, payable management, and receivable management solutions. Basically, it wants to make it easy for firms and founders of all stripes to handle the complex finance hoops they have to jump through.
With Tech in Asia and Aspire largely powered by similar principles, it was easy to see how we could work together at Tech in Asia Conference 2023 – both to further Aspire’s business and branding objectives as well as Tech in Asia’s desire to put on the best tech event possible.
A (literal) stage of empowerment
The foundation of any industry conference is built on content.
While networking and meeting new people – potential partners, clients, or even friends – are a core part of the event experience, there would be nothing to spark learning and discussions if there wasn’t quality content. It’d be a meatball sub without the meatballs.
By sponsoring the Founder’s Summit side stage, Aspire walked the talk, helping entrepreneurs navigate the tough issues they encounter on the daily. These include topics such as fundraising in a tech winter, achieving product-market fit, and building toward an exit – all very practical, pertinent topics for entrepreneurs of all levels of experience.

Aspire even kicked off the talks; co-founder and CEO Andrea Baronchelli took the stage to share the steps the firm took to achieve profitability, a key milestone for every startup founder.
Understanding the assignment
Beyond the stage, Aspire also took the attendee experience to heart. It made full use of its platinum sponsor privileges to customize a booth that – in addition to being spacious – encouraged interactivity and engagement. What’s more, Tech in Asia and Aspire made sure the booth was fun and vibrant, which ties in neatly with the event’s overall tone.

This might not seem important for attendees and sponsors, but the seamlessness plays an underlying role in elevating the event experience. It’s also something that can only be accomplished when the sponsor and event organizer are in sync and look out for each other’s interests.
Ultimately, Aspire’s effective use of content enabled the firm to tap into the demographics of the event, allowing it to strike up meaningful conversations with its desired profile of attendees and build a pipeline of targeted leads.
