“You have to meet your potential customers where they are.”
That’s a common refrain in the startup and tech scene, and it applies to all kinds of companies. After all, if customers don’t get to see or know you in the course of their regular day, then how will they ever sign up for your solutions or services?
As a company that offers customer communication and engagement tools, Twilio understands this better than most.
Last year, it partnered with Tech in Asia for both the Product Development Conference 2024 (PDC 2024) and our inaugural Kuala Lumpur Conference. In doing so, Twilio engaged in-depth with potential clients and partners, paving the way for its future growth.
Everything, everywhere, all at once
Twilio’s partnership with Tech in Asia began months before both of the events. The company’s logo was featured in event marketing efforts across our website, newsletters, as well as on social media, which helped drum up interest leading up to the event days.
At PDC 2024, which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, Twilio made sure to leave an impression on attendees. Irfan Ismail, the company’s regional vice president of independent software vendor sales for the Asia Pacific, took the stage twice to provide insights on the importance of holistic customer engagement. He also touched on the strategies businesses can use to effectively communicate and connect with their clients and users.

The first of these sessions was on the Expert Stage, which allowed Twilio to reach a wide range of attendees. The second session, in which the firm hosted a luncheon session, was a cosier, more intimate setting that enabled deeper discussions.
Twilio – and Ismail – repeated the trick at the Kuala Lumpur Conference, which allowed the team to reach and engage with a whole new audience. And with the addition of a Platinum-level custom booth (located in a prime location on the event floor), the team had new avenues of attendee engagement.

Suffice it to say that Twilio took full advantage of Tech in Asia’s expertise in content and event management to make sure its message and capabilities were understood loud and clear by as many people in the region as possible.
At a glance:
A customer’s journey with any solution provider is a long-term affair, with multiple touchpoints. Twilio understood the brief, and leveraged Tech in Asia’s many avenues to make sure it gets in front of and stays top of mind with its target audience.
