“I mean, it’s always a tricky topic, right? Because [for] any position, you simply want to hire the best person [who] is available,” says Jakob Angele, CEO of Foodpanda in Asia Pacific, on the blind spots people tend to miss while trying to hire the right talent.

“And we also do that, of course. But I think it’s more [of the] mindset that we really try to create for hiring managers and team managers, the mindset to look for people who complement them, who have different strengths and weaknesses than themselves, rather than having a bias toward people who are similar to them,” he explains.
