Dota player tells a GameFi creator why blockchain games suck
There’s been evidence that gamers hate blockchain technology and don’t want it in their games.
Countless developers like Riot Games have had to apologize and withdraw non-fungible token integrations in their games after massive fan backlash. Big gaming platforms like Steam have also had to ban games with NFTs and cryptocurrency to keep the community happy.
On the flip side, GameFi creators believe that the inherent value that blockchain brings to the gaming community is not only revolutionary but also entirely beneficial to players.
This seemingly unbridgeable gap between the two groups is strange to say the least.
So in this episode of Good Luck Have Fun!, we brought together GameFi creator Corey Wilton and pro Dota player Nicholas Cochrane to debate about whether blockchain technology adds value to the gaming experience or if it’s just another fad.
