For startups like Affle, deploying apps for government agencies often involves navigating complex government commercial cloud (GCC) environments and security advisories. All that work can result in long proof-of-concept cycles.

“You need to deploy things really quickly,” says Charles Yong, CTO of the consumer intelligence platform. “It can literally take months if you’re unaware of the actual processes that need to be put in place.”

In this video, Yong shares how Tech Acceleration Lab – an initiative of Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) – helped speed up the deployment process for Affle’s Housing Development Board audience engagement app while ensuring that the startup complied with GCC regulations.

The Tech Acceleration Lab (TAL) is a program that aims to accelerate the proof-of-concept cycle and seamlessly transition into a production environment to enable Singapore-based tech product companies to compete in future tenders, generating more lead demand opportunities with government agencies.
