Founded in 2018, Venti is a company that builds “safe-speed” autonomous transportation systems that move goods and people. It combines its operating system with various sensors and chassis designs to power logistics vehicles such as tug trailers or prime movers that can move shipping containers.

The company was founded by Heidi Wyle, Daniela Rus, Saman Amarasinghe, and Xinxin Du and currently has its autonomous systems deployed in industrial, logistics, residential, and recreational sites across Asia.

It plans to use the fresh funds to produce more autonomous logistics vehicles to fulfill customer agreements with global ports operator PSA Corporation and automotive manufacturers like SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC General Motors.

LDV Partners’ Lake Dai and Alpha JWC Ventures’ Chandra Tjan will also be joining Venti’s board.
