Investors including BlockchainSpace, PathDAO, DeFiance Capital principal Darryl Wang, Yield Guild Games co-founder Gabby Dizon, and Frax Finance founder Sam Kazemian also took part.
Founded in March by former Zilliqa executives Ian Tan, Ren Lulu, and Han Wen Chua, Voyage Finance helps play-to-earn guilds obtain a mortgage of up to 3x their treasury and scale gaming asset inventory. It aims to enable guilds to focus on expanding their operations and recruiting gamers who can compete at the highest level.
While Tan has previously worked at ByteDance, Gojek, and Tech in Asia, Chua has worked at Singapore-based Unstoppable Domains, ZilHive, and ST Engineering. Lulu served as a software engineer for cloud transformation at DaoCloud.
The first game to partner with Voyage to offer loans is Crabada – a play-to-earn game on the Avalanche platform.

The latest investment comes amid a rise in the number of startups that are looking to serve play-to-earn gaming guilds. For instance, BreederDAO produces high-quality non-fungible tokens that can be sold to gaming guilds, who can then rent out the digital assets for a portion of the player’s earnings.
