Understanding the struggles of the bike-sharing market
The bike-sharing industry has been fraught with challenges.
In September last year, Singapore’s oBike faced allegations of misappropriated funds. Chinese bike-sharing firm Ofo also encountered legal trouble and had to withdraw from over 50 cities around the world.
Despite the public’s perception of the industry and the difficulties with meeting regulatory requirements, Qiq Global chief operating officer Dalston Pung thinks the company has what it takes to succeed in the struggling market.
This week on Startup Snapshot, Pung shares how Qiq’s approach to last-mile transportation is different and why he is convinced this is the right way forward.
