Eid Greetings Made Easy on Twitter With Ucap.in

ucapincardOn Christmas or on any other holiday, people love to send greetings to friends and family. It’s the same for Eid, a Muslim celebration, which is just two days away. But traditional greeting cards might be troublesome as most offices in Muslim countries are already closed a few days before Eid, and that includes post offices. Surely there must be some way that technology can solve this problem, right?

That’s where Ucap comes in. The newly launched service is a Twitter app that allows people to easily send e-cards over popular social media platforms. With the tagline “saying is caring,” (Ucap.in in Indonesian means “saying”), Ucap makes it easier for anyone to send e-cards for any occasion — especially for the upcoming Eid holiday.

Although it’s still in the beta stage, users can customize their own e-card message and design. The idea is simple, but fun. It is a nice alternative from other common e-card services. We can upload our own pictures and add our own words too. With a simple URL, the customized e-card can be easily published to your Twitter stream.

It’s just a simple e-card app, but the simplicity of the service for social media users could be its biggest strength. If you’re looking to send well-wishes during the holiday, consider giving it a try. Here’s a quick sample below (‘Cilukba’ means ‘peek-a-boo’):
