Earth Day and The Internet [INFOGRAPHIC]

Good Earth Day to you. Google has a nice doodle (right) and Wordstream has created an interesting infographic which shows us some contrasting points between Internet usage and the impact on our environment.

I particularly like how Wordstream put numbers into perspective. For example, 15,000 Google searches for “funny pictures” is equivalent to producing the same amount of carbon dioxide as making a cheeseburger. And this one is interesting: 62 trillion spam emails are sent each year which is equivalent to carbon dioxide emission as 1.6 million cars driving around the Earth.
