TwitchPlaysPokemon defeats Blue with just over 122 million chat inputs

In an amazing turn of events over the weekend, made possible only by the Lord God Helix and Bird Jesus, TwitchPlaysPokemon made it past Victory Road and into the hallowed halls of the Elite Four.

There, they took down the region’s best, one by one, until they reached Blue.

In Democracy mode, Battery Jesus the Zapdos took down Pidgeot, Alakazam and Arcanine, the Fonz gave Rhydon a Surfing lesson in pain, Bird Jesus came down from the heavens for the Exeggutor, and the level 39 All-Terrain Venomoth somehow survived a Blizzard attack from a level 65 Blastoise before making way for Zapdos to crush it.

TwitchPlaysPokemon took 16 days, 7 hours, 45 minutes and 30 seconds to complete Pokemon Red. There were 1,165,140 Pokemon masters trying to take the helm, 122,000,000+ commands issued, 121,000 viewers at peak hours, a total of 36,000,000+ views and 1,000,000,000+ minutes watched.
