Here’s what people were searching for on Baidu (China’s biggest search engine) last week:
- “I Bribed”– An Indian website that allows people to report instances of corruption has gotten a lot of attention in China and spawned a number of copycat websites. Many of these sites are now closed but at least one remains open and has attracted nearly 3.5 million visitors since its launch.
- “Naruto” 436– People are searching for episode 436 of the popular Japanese anime program Naruto. (Image source)

- “The Age of Naked Marriage”– People are searching for episodes of “The Age of Naked Marriage,” a new drama on Chinese television. (“Naked marriage” refers to the post-80s generation phenomenon of getting married without a car, a house, a large savings, a fancy ceremony, or other traditional trappings of weddings.) - “Super Lotto” prize results– People are searching for the prize numbers for the most recent round of Super Lotto, one of China’s lottery games.
