BillEase, a buy now, pay later firm based in the Philippines, has partnered with Razer Fintech to provide installment options for merchants in the latter’s network.
Through the partnership, clients of Razer Merchant Services will be able to offer BillEase’s BNPL services to their customers. These include card-free installment options that enable users to pay within 10 to 20 days or over the course of several months.
“We are eager to see how our flexible payment solutions can foster growth and inclusivity in the ecommerce landscape,” said Kurt Molina, head of merchant products at BillEase.
According to Statista, BNPL spending in the Philippines is expected to reach US$900 million by 2026, compared to just around US$100 million in 2021.
Besides BNPL, BillEase – which was founded in 2015 and launched in 2017 – also offers personal loans, e-wallet and mobile top-ups, bills payments, and gaming credits.
Last year, the company partnered with Ant Group’s Alipay+ to launch BNPL and installment payment options in the Philippines.
As of July 2023, BillEase posted US$60 million in annual recurring revenue, doubling the previous year’s figure.
Meanwhile, Razer Fintech – the financial services unit of gaming brand Razer – recorded over US$6 billion in total payment volume for its 2022 financial year.
