Tiffany on Twitter: Indonesian High School Girl Has Over 50k Followers
We’re all familiar with stories of sudden fame on the Internet, especially on YouTube where overnight sensations like Indonesia’s viral Bollywood cop are a common occurance. But as we’ve pointed out before, Indonesia is big on Twitter too, creating more than just a few trending topics over the past year.
But as for individual users, there are few that have more than 10,000 followers. With that in mind, we were eager to speak with Tiffanny William, a high school girl who has more than 50,000 followers!
1. Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
I am Tiffany William, a Chinese-born Indonesian. Raised by a complete, happy family makes me a happy kid. I’m fun, loud but I can sometimes be melancholy. I enjoy music, writing, arts, a cup of peach tea, drinking hot chocolate under my blanket and playing tennis too.
2. You have more than 50,000 followers. Why are people following you? How quickly did you reach your first 10,000 followers?
Uhm, the first reason might be because I write quotes, or whatsoever my tweets are called. Then I interact with my followers mostly through Formspring. I always let them ask me tips, questions, or whatsoever they need to know from me.
And I have never really paid attention to my followers’ growth, but I guess it took me two to three months to reach my first 10,000 followers. 🙂
3. From what I’ve seen and heard, your tweets are interesting because you post quotes, or life/love stories. Where do you get the inspiration?
I can get inspirations from everywhere. Mostly from people (family, elders, friends), movies, books, and music.
