Happening on September 6 and 7, the third edition of our Tokyo conference will take place in the beautiful Shibuya Gardens Belle Salle.
Expect plenty of networking opportunities at our signature conference segments such as Startup-Investor Speed Dating, Meet the Media, and Night Crawl. While you’re at the conference, be sure to check out Bootstrap Alley, where dynamic and innovative startup companies will be exhibiting.

Tomoko Namba, Founder of DeNA
A conference favorite, Tomoko Namba will be joining our Tokyo conference for the third consecutive year. Namba-san is the powerhouse behind DeNA’s multi-billion-dollar empire, which includes gaming, e-commerce, digital payment, and advertising platforms. Same as last year, she will join us for a special on-stage mentoring session with two Japanese entrepreneurs, analyzing their startup failures and giving insight on how to make the next company take off.
Jeff Jordan, General Partner of Andreessen Horowitz
Legendary venture capitalist Jeff Jordan, will make his first appearance at Tech in Asia Tokyo 2016. Jeff has worked with dozens of successful internet startups across a host of industries, including Airbnb, Tiny Prints, Belly, Lookout, Pinterest, and Twice to name a few. Now a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Jordan’s storied background includes tours as the CEO of OpenTable, president of PayPal, and general manager of eBay North America.
Taavet Hinrikus, CEO and Co-founder of TransferWise
Tomoko Namba and Jeff Jordon will be joined by Taavet Hinrikus, who was Skype’s first employee. Now CEO and co-founder of TransferWise, Hinrikus is working to change lives by simplifying platforms and reducing cost structures in the world of international payment platforms. The money transfer startup valued at US$1.1 billion today has five offices across UK, US, Ukraine, Estonia, servicing 400 routes for people to send money. Be sure to catch this European star at Tech in Asia Tokyo 2016!
