Previously, Geldere was with global online advertising firm Criteo. He joined the company in 2016 as senior director of human resources for Asia Pacific before becoming global vice president of people experience and chief transformation officer.

At Thunes, Geldere will lead talent acquisition, training, and leadership development. He will also be in charge of maintaining company culture.

The firm currently has more than 300 employees, and it plans to double that number in the next 18 months.

Founded in 2016, Thunes is a B2B payments company that supports 79 currencies and 300 payment methods. It counts the likes of Uber, Grab, Deliveroo, and PayPal as its clients.

Earlier this year, the payments firm acquired Singapore-based regtech startup Tookitaki for over US$20 million, enabling Thunes to offer anti-money laundering software.
