Indonesian mobile telco Three is partnering with Laziz Muhammadiyah (LazisMU), a charitable Muslim NGO, to create a social program called 3Satria Pantang Nyerah (Three Unyielding Knights). This program is a form of appreciation for inspiring Indonesians who dedicate their lives to helping humanity.
Three has chosen a trio of people as ‘knights’ for this program. They are Endang Mintarja, who works with street children; A. Syarifudin, SH, a judge who chose to become an educator at a school for drop-out children; and Yulianti Muthmainnah, who works persistently to fight violence against women.
Arum Prasodjo, Three PR manager explained to Penn-Olson:
Why we chose them is because their respective fields represent areas that touch the the community at large. And they are still young, and suited to the spirit of our brand. We hope they can motivate young people in this country.
On the website 3satria, Three encourages everyone to vote for their favorite knight and donate to help support their efforts. People can also vote through SMS from their Three number. The voting will be closed on September 12.
Manjot Mann, president director of Three Indonesia in a statement
In the future, will continue to search for other unyielding knights who deserve appreciation and motivate many people to be able to do the best in their life and environment.
In accordance with the Ramadan atmosphere and the spirit of Indonesian independence day, this social program is a good step on the part of Three to build public awareness to support individuals doing good work.
