ThoughtBuzz Expanding to Philippines and Indonesia [INTERVIEW]

ThoughtBuzz is expanding its presence to both the Philippines and Indonesia. The Singapore-based startup, which makes a web app for monitoring, analytics, and intelligence about your social media networks, has revealed the news on its site.
The startup says it offers “the technology and the expertise for brands to make sense of all the conversations happening on social media on one simple platform” – but that’s a crowded marketplace already. We talked to the company’s country managers for the Philippines and Indonesia, Jonas De Los Reyes and Abang Edwin respectively, who are both former Yahoo employees, regarding the expansion.
1. What makes ThoughtBuzz different from any other social media analyzing platforms?
Edwin:
Thoughtbuzz is fast, user-friendly and very accurate; we localize our reporting requirements as our clients need. It offers a complete package from the dashboard to the reporting system with crisis management alerts too.
Jonas:
What defines ThoughtBuzz is its end-to-end solutions. ThoughtBuzz is not only offering a tool for companies to monitor social media, neither is it only offering social media analytics. It can offer both. The company is also focused on providing local support in the countries where it is present. This definitely sets us apart from other players.
2. I saw that you have lots of clients already, especially in Singapore. But how do you measure your success?
Jonas:
ThoughtBuzz was founded in Singapore in 2009 so it just follows that the majority of the clients will be from there. The number of clients is definitely one indicator of success but it’s not the only thing we measure. I think for us, the bottom line is how our services have enabled our clients to connect their social media initiatives to their business goals and helped them reach it.
