Bandai Namco’s upcoming anime fighter J-Stars Victory Vs contains over 52 playable characters that span 32 different anime series from the Jump universe. There is a lot of excitement surrounding this fighter for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita, and Bandai Namco is planning on revealing new characters in videos every week leading up to the March 19 Japanese release. This week, we have:
Toriko (Toriko)
Everyone’s favorite gourmet hunter looks to be a strong contender in this upcoming anime fighter. Toriko will be stabbing and slicing his way through the competition with his patented Fork and Knife Fist, and then sending them flying with his Kugi Punch. However, that’s only the tip of this chef’s fighting expansive repertoire.
He will be able to use his flying fork and leg knife for long range attacks and then quickly close in the gap with his dash. If Toriko is injured, he is able to whip up a dish really quickly to restore some of his health. When powered up, Toriko’s Kugi Punch can send his opponent flying and deal 36 consecutive blows. Toriko may just be the best in the game for setting up combos.
Yamada Tarou (Chinyuki Taro to Yukai na Nakamatachi)
Yamada Tarou’s plan for victory includes headbutting his opponents into submission. His fighting style is completely wild and he will even produce a giant bomb in the shape of his head to throw at his opponents. Yamada Tarou is just another one of the many gag fighters in J-Stars Victory Vs that will mix in a bit of comedy with his attacks.
Jonathan Joestar (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Jonathan Joestar looks to be my kind of character. He moves fast, is really powerful, and can mix in punches with his weapons. He’s got it all. When Jonathan enters his overdrive mode, his fists become a blur and deal countless blows. He is also able to replenish his health faster than any other character. I think I’ve found my go-to fighter.
Kurokami Medaka (Medaka Box)
Unlike the other fighters in J-Stars Victory Vs, Kurokami Medaka is not restricted by distance. She is able to pull off attacks from all over the arena and is even able to get closer to her opponents while performing her moves. She is equipped with her sexy suit, and is able to power up into her super strong pink haired form, which allows her to pull off some incredibly fast combos. Once she has enough energy she can even create a dome which restricts her opponent’s movements. Kurokami Medaka is the strongest heroine in the game.
Nueno Meisuke (Jigoku Sensei Nube)
Are you ready to fight with nose hair? J-Stars Victory Vs will give you the chance.
