SEOUL – 1 OCTOBER 2024 – thero6, a cutting-edge South Korean company specializing in the development of cybersecurity algorithms for blockchain and financial industries, has successfully raised $6 million in a recent seed funding round. Of this total, $1.07 million was generated through a crowdfunding initiative, marking the first successful fundraising effort of this scale since 2018. The investment pool included funds from private investors as well as venture capital funds from South and Southeast Asia, indicating strong international interest in thero6 product under development.

The company is known for its commitment to improving financial technology in the banking and blockchain sectors, increasing the transparency of its tools and enhancing the security of private finance. Last year, for example, thero6 co-founder and CEO Kan Hyо Son has already twice presented technology reports and studies that have been favourably received by executives from South Asia’s largest corporations.
