The Tencent tease continues: an Attack on Titan video game? [Updated]
Yesterday, we wrote about Tencent‘s teaser site for a new game apparently about giants. Today, the company has expanded the site with further details, including three apparent screenshots (or perhaps concept art pieces) from the upcoming game:

The updated site also features new information that suggests the devasation pictured above was wrought by massive “monsters” of different types, and that there may be more than twenty such creatures. The site’s URL has also been changed from aot.qq.com to juren.qq.com. Juren means “giant person” in Chinese, and may be a hint at the game’s title.
UPDATE 2014-7-1: Games in Asia Facebook fan Marfred Paul suggested it could be a game based on the anime series Attack on Titan, and that actually seems quite likely. That would explain the “aot” used in the initial site URL, and it would also explain the Japanese themes of the site. Juren, the Chinese term for giant person (or titan), is also present in the Japanese title Attack on Titan. All signs seem to point to this game being an Attack on Titan title.
(It’s also worth pointing out that while this is likely a PC game, it’s possible this is also an Xbox One title, as the console will be launching in China this September and Tencent is developing some titles for the platform).
