The final stretch: which teams will represent China in the League of Legends Season 4 World Championship?
China’s LoL Pro League (LPL) Summer season has been completely crazy. We’ve seen Shaco picks, baron throws, upsets, pentakills, and plays that rival those of Faker.

And now, we’re approaching the final stretch as only one more week of matches remain. It’s already pretty clear which League of Legends teams will be participating in the LPL Summer playoffs that follow, but the real action starts afterwards, during the China Regional Finals. There, the top teams from both the LPL Spring and LPL Summer playoffs will fight for rights to represent China at the Season 4 World Championship, as well as over $2 million in prize money.
(See: The League of Legends Season 4 World Championship total prize pool is $2,130,000)
Which teams will make it to the LPL Summer playoffs? Which will appear on the world stage this year? Let’s take a look at all the top LPL teams and see where they stand:
1) OMG
Current points: 23 (6 wins, 5 ties, 2 losses)
Remaining matches: 1 (Young Glory)
Info: Just like the 2014 LPL Spring season, OMG is once again sitting at the top. It has one more match against Young Glory remaining. No matter the result, OMG has already qualified for both the LPL Summer playoffs and S4 China Regional Finals.
Still, a win against Young Glory would give OMG three more points and cement its position as the first seed in the playoffs. Who would say no to that?
2) Star Horn Royal Club
Current points: 23 (5 wins, 8 ties, 1 loss)
Remaining matches: None
Info: Star Horn Royal Club is done with its matches for the LPL Summer season, which concluded with a very impressive pentakill from Uzi.
