Square Enix is celebrating the success of its three MMORPGs and has started a series of collaborations that are sure to make any RPG fan squeal with excitement. The Japan-exclusive Dragon Quest X kicked off its collaboration event last week, but unless you speak Japanese you probably weren’t terribly excited about this crossover.
Starting today though, Final Fantasy XIV will be getting characters, equipment, and quests based on the worlds of Dragon Quest X and Final Fantasy XI.
The Dragon Quest X crossover will bring its golems to the world of Eorzea. Defeating the golems will get you a Thug’s Mug mask, a DQX helmet, as well as a Wind-up Brickman Minion.
Golems aren’t the only addition to Eorzea, FFXI’s master magician Shantotto will be here to offer you one epic challenge. If you do happen to take her down, you will be rewarded with a Wind-up Shantotto.
This crossover won’t last forever. The event started January 21 at 2:00 AM (PST) and will end February 3 at 6:59 AM (PST).
