New Korean coach for League of Legends S2 World Champions Taipei Assassins

The Korean League of Legends wind continues to blow, this time bringing a coach to the Season 2 World Champions, the Azubu Taipei Assassins.

But as the saying goes: “In with the new and out with the old”; strategy analyst Fluidwind and strategy analyst assistant (as well former starting support) DinTer will be leaving the team. Things seem to be amicable though, so we at Games in Asia wish the best to all involved.

Explanation for personnel changes / new Korean coach:

First, we must explain something to everyone: Our working partnership with DinTer and Fluidwind will be ending this month. For over a year, we have created some great memories together.

Although we will not be seeing them at competitions, they both have their own plans and goals. We look forward to DinTer, who will be interacting more with the players, as well as Fluidwind, who will be completing his graduate studies and expanding his stream. We here at TPA wish them both the best of luck.

Secondly, we wanted to hire a Korean coach so that TPA may stay competitive on the global stage. This was a decision we had already made back in the GPL Spring Finals and have been searching ever since.

We had a few basic requirements for the coach, including that this person already have experience in the OGN league. We also required this person be able to completely implement Korean’s system of learning and training in League of Legends to our team. In order to find the perfect coach, we did not want to make this decision too hastily and have been patiently looking.

After much waiting and many discussions, we finally have an excellent opportunity. We are now eagerly awaiting this person’s cooperation plan, which we hope will help lead to even more talented eSports athletes and coaches. Additionally, we would like to announce that we are hiring a Korean translator to help bridge the communication gap between the coach and our team.

We plan on announcing our new coach in July.

The Azubu Taipei Assassins failed to qualify last year, but with a strong first place finish in the 2014 GPL Spring tournament, we hope to see them again this year in Korea for the Season 4 World Championships.
