We’re back with a whole slew of games for you to play this weekend. Check out some of the best Asian mobile games from June 27 to July 4! As always, you can reach us at news[at]gamesinasia[dot]come if you have any games you’ve just published.

Puzzle

Sugar Route

by Skillshot Labs (Philippines)

Putting candy in a box has never been this cute and complicated at the same, but I’m not complaining. The goal in Sugar Route is to rotate colored sugar tiles with directional arrows to create a path for your candy to make its way from the starting tile to where the box is at the end. The catch here is that the tiles work in pairs—one where the arrow enters and another where the arrow exits. So when your candy lands on a colored tile, it will come out from another tile of the same color. All tiles in the game have arrows, but the directional arrow will only work for the exit. If the candy falls into the chocolate outside of the tiles, it’s game over.

Sugar Route is recommended for mobile gamers who enjoy a good puzzle game. It is available for iOS and Android.

Polygon: match 3 blocks

polygonby Meyo Studios (Malaysia)

Polygon is one of the best match-four games (it is match-four, despite the name) I have played in a long time. Unlike most games which bombard the players with more and pieces, Polygon gives you the pieces and lets you do what you like with them. Each piece is four tiles long and can be made of up to four different colors. It’s your job to place these pieces so that colors connect and then disappear, giving you more space to play with. Like all good puzzle gamed the idea is simple, and addictive. My average game lasted about ten minutes, so it’s perfect for a short bus ride, though I suspect hardcore puzzle fans may find Polygon a little easy.

The game also features an excellent soundtrack of chilled-out music, which is perfect for mesmerising willing gamers. My only advice would be to make sure you don’t get hypnotised and miss your stop! You can download Polygon for Android here.
