Tesla posts lowest sales since 2022 as Musk draws scrutiny
Tesla vehicle deliveries fell 8.6% in 2025 to 1.6 million, the company’s lowest sales since 2022.
Q4 deliveries dropped 15.6% year-on-year to 418,227, missing Wall Street’s estimate of 422,900.
Overall sales are now down 9.5% from Tesla’s 2023 peak.
The decline has been linked to the end of the US federal EV tax credit in September and negative sentiment around CEO Elon Musk’s political activity.
Tesla has not launched a new vehicle or redesigned its main models this decade.
The company recently rolled out a self-driving car service in Austin and plans to expand it in 2026.
