Have you ever wanted to play a game about giants? Chinese game developer and publisher Tencent might be about to give you your chance. Or maybe not. The company has set up a new teaser site at aot.qq.com that features hints about a new game, possibly set in Japan and probably involving giants.
When you first visit the teaser site, you are promoted to light an oil lamp. It illuminates a book titled “Outside-the-wall investigation number 845”. When opened, the book displays a page with information about how giants, more than 100 feet tall, have invaded the earth, as indicated by massive footprints found in the Pacific.

On the other side of the page is a faux news report about the huge footprints in Japanese, and a link to a teaser video The video contains historical footage mixed with cryptic blacked-out descriptions of the footage. The video suggests that the giant footprints are somehow related to nuclear testing during World War II, and shows a photo of a giant footprint found much more recently, and labeled with a longitude and latitude that puts it somewhere in coastal Georgia, USA.
What any of that means is anyone’s guess, but the site suggests that more information will be revealed on July 1 and 2, so stay tuned!
