Tencent Cloud completes XLSmart migration

Tencent Cloud said it has completed a public cloud migration for XL Smart. The project moved thousands of applications and interfaces.

Tencent Cloud said the migration began in December 2025 and used more than 20 AI-based migration skills.

Tencent Cloud said these tools scanned legacy systems, generated design documents, and automated parts of deployment and cutover.

XL Smart was created on 17 April 2025 through the legal consolidation of XL Axiata, Smartfren, and SmartTel.

The merged telecom operator was expected to serve about 94.5 million mobile subscribers, or around 27% of Indonesia’s market, making the migration part of its post-merger systems integration.
