About the panelist: Stephen Jagger
Stephen Jagger is an entrepreneur that has been starting businesses since high school. He is the cofounder of four companies. Combustion Hosting was a web hosting company acquired in 2006. Ubertor is a real estate software company that provides websites and online marketing tools to thousands of real estate agents across North America. Reachd is a training company that focuses on marketing professionals and businesses that are interested in learning more about search engine optimization, blogging, online video, Google Adwords and social media. OutsourcingThingsDone is a leased labour business based in Manila, Philippines and finally PayrollHero which is an online payroll, time tracking and scheduling tool.
About the panelist: Anthony Tan
Anthony co-founded GrabTaxi with his Harvard Business School classmate, Tan Hooi Ling, after their plan to revamp the Malaysian taxi industry won 2nd place in Harvard’s Business Plan Contest in 2011. Combining the knowledge and skills developed from his previous roles in Lazard Freres (Analyst), Renault Paris (Strategy Marketing) and Tan Chong Group (Head of Marketing & Head of Group Supply Chain), he is actively involved in the expansion, marketing and product development plans for GrabTaxi in the region. The taxi industry also holds a very special place in Anthony’s heart – his great grandfather was a taxi driver.
Paperclip is Hong Kong’s first dedicated startup campus which uniquely combines a startup academy with coworking space. Paperclip’s mission is to raise Hong Kong’s startup standards. The academy focuses on the lean startup methodologies and business model canvas tools. The beautifully designed, 5000 square feet space is located in Sheung Wan, the ‘new Central’ for startups, and is equipped with office, cowork, meeting, classroom and event space.
