Founded in 2017, Waku (previously Wakuliner) provides catering and canteen management services for corporate and government organizations. It also serves individual customers by offering frozen food, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals.

The firm said its revenue has increased by more than 14x since the end of 2019. It has also served 4.3 million meals to over 570 clients in the same period.

Waku was established by food entrepreneur Anthony Gunawan. It’s affiliated with local restaurant chain Boga Group and state-owned telco firm Telkom Indonesia.

The company plans to use the fresh funding for business and geographical expansion as well as for product development.
