Team Titan wins The Inaugural, to be part of The Summit Asian Qualifiers

Team Titan from Malaysia is proving why it is often dubbed the strongest Dota 2 team in Southeast Asia today, as it won the first-ever Inaugural by Beyond The Summit studio.

The Malaysian powerhouse received direct invites to play in the group stages of The Inaugural and flawlessly dominated its group. Team Titan bested Singaporean team Scythe with a 3-1 win in a best of five series grand finals, earning a prize of $2,000.

In addition to the cash prize, Team Titan has also secured itself a spot for the The Summit Asian qualifiers where they will face off against the top three Chinese teams from the China pre-qualifiers. The winner of the Asian qualifiers will then move on to the main tournament where it will face off with five other international teams such as Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) and Team DK.

Invites for The International 2014 have yet to be announced, but as the date for its qualifiers draws closer, the community knows that it won’t be long before the first few invites go out. As such, the pressure for teams to show that they are worthy of invites become stronger. Team Titan has shown dominance in Southeast Asia and also showed its strength against Chinese teams during the WPC-ACE in China. One of its significant wins includes a 2-0 win against Chinese juggernaut Invictus Gaming (iG), even though it was under considerable physical stress after playing two hour-long matches against Team DK beforehand.
