Online Panel: Fintech in Southeast Asia

Fintech has been on the steady uptrend, with an increasing number of startups joining the fray, with more investors taking notice too. With payments & lending, blockchain & cloud-based services leading the charge, we’ve seen an increase in regional investments into the vertical.

There will most certainly be more to come within the Fintech space, as evident with huge corporate MNC’s starting to jump in on the “Fintech-Startup” action, promising and exciting are the times ahead for the industry.

Here are the panelists for this segment:

David Moskowitz – Attores is David’s second startup in the blockchain niche. David founded bitcoin brokerage Coin Republic in 2013 grew it to $1M in transactions per year, and sold it in 2015. Prior to the brokerage, he was a systems integrator, helping SME’s set up subscription systems online (SaaS). He has 20 years experience in product development, marketing and sales. He is also a board member of ACCESS The Singapore Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Industry Association.

Jon Foster – Jon has spent more than 15 years in Asian financial markets, specializing in Equity Special Situations on both the buy and sell side. Over his career, he has built several research driven businesses that differentiate themselves from the dominant players. At Smartkarma, Jon drives product and content strategy, takes the Smartkarma story to the world, and actively manage relationships with external stakeholders.

Steven Tong – Steven is the Managing Director of Startupbootcamp Fintech. He is part of the team that runs this unique program providing entrepreneurs opportunities to tap into the extensive network of companies in the financial industries, government agencies, mentors and investors that Singapore has to offer.
