How optimized is your website?
Ah, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), a once unfamiliar term now importantly embedded into any online marketer’s repertoire of tunes to play. SEO focuses on growing visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results.
Get your SEO done right, and when someone searches for something on a search engine that resembles the terms you’ve been setting out for, your site’s link will be at the top of the page. Pretty much guaranteeing you that click in without paying a single cent to advertise.
But of course, it isn’t as simple as snapping your fingers and clicking an SEO button and instantly achieving maximum optimisation on the world’s top search engines. It sure seems too magical a promise too, with technically ‘free’ traffic, it leads some marketers to cheat the system.
No black hatters
Black hat SEO points to an aggressive SEO strategy and tactic that usually defies search engine guidelines. That works fantastically to your advantage. Though, new Google algorithms has the company clamping down hard on companies that use such techniques. In short, don’t be a genius and try this at home (or at work). There will be repercussions.
So how should you go about it?
But just how complicated can SEO get? After all, it’s just a bunch of metas, keywords, and urls done properly right? Well, if you still have no clue what those three have in common, we’ve got topic experts from the TIA community here to discuss more about what’s up with the world of SEO in recent times, and how you can go about maximising its potential.
