    Crowdsourcing to bailout Greece

    Ia_Santorini-2009-1

As Greece struggles with its financial situation, it seems that someone has took to crowdsourcing site Indiegogo to seek an alternative Bailout Fund. Of course, like any crowdsourcing campaign, there are different tiers to donate.

From the lower tiered €3 for a postcard from the Greek Prime Minister,  €6 for some Feta and olive salad, to the higher tiered  €5000 for an all-inclusive week-long holiday for 2 (EU citizens only) and €1,000,000 for lots of gratitude from the people of Greece.

With a goal of  €1,600,000,000, it is highly unlikely that the campaign can reach its target, which has a mere  €514,446 at the time of writing this article. However, in the few hours of the campaign’s inception, Indiegogo’s servers crashed due to the high volume of traffic to its site – many of whom where there just to check out what it’s all about. (pretty sure you’d drop by too… so here’s the link to the campaign)

So what say you? Do you wanna bailout Greece?
