How Blockchain will lead industry revolutions

Hello! The TIA City Chapters will have its first event this quarter in Taiwan. For the inaugural event in the city, we will be focusing on the hottest topic in town, Blockchain technology. The half-day event will feature three sharing sessions and two panels.

With the explosive rise of Bitcoin, and the crazy attention and hype drawn to cryptocurrencies in recent years, interest in the space has risen dramatically. This brought forth a great interest in Blockchain technology within the tech industry.

The Taiwan city chapter committee, along with our partners, PurpleCow Startup Association and FundersToken, will be holding a half day event that features topics surrounding the Blockchain tech sphere. The event will take a look at the future of Blockchain, it’s use and applications, as well as the sharing of insights from experts. The goal would be to find probable solutions and ideas to aid startups in Taiwan in solving their pain points.

Note: Only one session of the event will be conducted in English

Speakers

Jon Jones – Tech Evangelist, Entrepreneur, speaker on blockchain and founder of Blockcamp, an accelerator group that focus on blockchain startups. Jon is currently advising on building the next regulatory sandbox for Taiwan.

Jack Chu – Founder of WayIn-Code based in London, an artificial intelligence based consulting company. Jack returned to Taiwan and founded FundersToken, who has their proprietary blockchain technology. He is also advising on several regulators’ projects.

Pochang Wu – Founder and operator of DRM Free MP3 online music store, iNDIEVOX. He is also the co-founder of KKBOX.

Panelists

Christopher Shen – Entrepreneur, Tech Speaker, Blockchain and social media influencer, Christopher is the founder of Mr.Block, a social network for Blockchain and cryptocurrency. He is also the founder for Mr.Token, an ICO rating site for Mandarin speakers. He also organized the first Taiwan Block Chain Summit, and is an advisor of Taiwanese regulators on building the next regulatory sandbox for Taiwan.

Colin Chang – Co-Founder of NCCU Entrepreneur Association, Co-Owner of Fintech news, Fintech PM in First Financial Holding, Vice President of Lions Clubs international and SME Association in R.O.C.

Spencer Liu – Founder and CEO of CloudMile, also part of the founding team of eCloudValley, AWS’ largest partner in Asia, and founded an e-commerce platform YamMarket. He was also the one of the first 15 premier Google Partners for the Google Cloud Platform(GCP).
