Taiwanese brand Catsblock will one day take over the world; I’m sure of that

Imagine having a pet cat that changes its form depending on the TV show it is watching. Now imagine that cat to be real. Or as real as a virtual kitty can get, anyway. Taiwanese company Achtung is the proud producer of Catsland, a pet simulator game we previewed at last week’s Casual Connect Asia convention.

The cats in Catsland are more than just pets that you can care for. You can also collect them in their various forms, by giving providing them with the right activities and TV shows to stimulate their growth. The pet sim is available on Android and iOS, but that’s not even beginning to scratch the surface of these adorably blocky cats.

Catsland belongs to a brand known as Catsblock, which is the collective name for the blocky, shape-changing, TV-addicted cats you can care for in Catsland. There are already several incredibly adorable Catsblock games available for play, such as Facebook game Catsblock Timeboom, a match-3 puzzle game, and game apps Catsblock Extreme and Catsomino, racing and puzzle games respectively. These are also available on iOS and Android.

Billy Kang, account director from Achtung, told us that Achtung has plans for the Catsblock brand to get even bigger. To date, the company has produced small merchandise items, such as a magnetized card holder and a series of comics. It also has a camera app called Catscamera, and has plans to introduce another type of animal to the brand (chickens!).

The Catsblock series of games are not the best translated ones since they are not originally produced in English, but I highly recommend them based on the cute factor. I mean, cats? And a cat sim? This brand could win the cat-obsessed internet.

Also here’s a Catsblock papercraft video just for kicks:
