Tabbang: A Drag-and-Drop Facebook Tab Creator For Small Businesses

tabbangHave you ever wanted to have Twitter feeds or customized tabs on your Facebook page? With Tabbang, you now can. This India-based startup has created a suite of applications for small businesses who are having trouble with technical details on Facebook. Hiring a good developer is tough, and often expensive too. In contrast Tabbang, for now, is a free service.

To use it, all you have to do is authenticate your Facebook page so Tabbang can provide you with a simple drag and drop creator. Tabbang has a list of interesting tabs/apps for your Facebook page. Some simple tabs which people would very much like on their pages include a Twitter feed, video page, ‘like’ gate, Google Analytics, YouTube channel, etc. For a free service, I’ve got to say that’s pretty damn awesome.

The creator is simple (see below). On the left are all the widgets, and you can select one and drag it into the white box. Once done, the admin of your page will be able to see the app on his/her Facebook page in an unpublished preview mode. The admin person can edit/add details and publish after its done.

Mehul Hingu, a representative of Tabbang said:

We’ve got a bunch of templates that will make it easier and faster for users to customize their fanpages. No need for any kind of programming or design skills. It’s easy to use and build by just dragging and dropping everything.

As some of you might have guessed, Tabbang will be having a paid version soon. Mehul added:

We’ll soon introduce a paid plan which comes with some more business widgets such as job listings, store locator, daily deals, photo/video contest, and promotional coupons.

But Tabbang isn’t the only one in the market. AppBistro, a U.S-based startup is also working on the same idea and has been in the market for over a year. Nonetheless, in terms of customer support in Asia, Tabbang certainly has an edge over AppBistro. It’s all about the execution, moving forward.
