Summon Auntie now lets you chat with other car drivers. But remember to watch the road

If you’re cruising on the road and spot another car with a flat tire or the flashlights on, there’s now an easier way to inform the driver.

Summon Auntie, an app by Singapore startup Replaid that lets users warn one another when a parking attendant is nearby, has just implemented a new feature called NotePlate for version five of the app.

NotePlate, which first existed as a separate app, enables users to send text messages to fellow drivers who are nearby. All they need to do is key in the license plate of the car, the message, and press the send button. However, the prospective receivers must also have Summon Auntie installed in their phones.

While it’s certainly an interesting feature, we hope drivers will be careful when using the app and not get too busy flirting with that hot chick in the next car.
