Koon Mun graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1994 with a degree in Business Administration (Finance). Unlike many of his peers who joined the financial sector, he chose to plunge headlong into the IT industry instead.

He went on to invest more than 13 years building up a career in the IT industry, having the opportunity to work in organizations like Singapore Computer Systems & IBM. During his time there, he was involved in the sales management, customer management & project management aspects of multimillion dollar system integration projects.
