Why You’ll Want to Stack Your Tweets With StackRoll [INTERVIEW]

Twitter can sometimes be a difficult medium to master. Very often we want to get people’s attention, but at the same time we don’t know when is the right time to tweet a joke or a great article or a funny video. There are a number of third-party tools that can help you schedule tweets, and here in Indonesia we have one too. It’s called StackRoll, and was created by Didik Wicaksono from Kualiku Apps. We interviewed him in an effort to learn more about his service.

1. StackRoll is the first app from Kualiku. What’s the basis for it?

StackRoll is a social networking tool for Twitter influencers that gathers Twitter statuses in stacks and schedules them to be published at certain times and intervals.

StackRoll is designed to help users organize Kultwit (Kuliah Twitter). Kultwit is an Indonesian term for a continuous set of tweets that is intended to share or discuss a certain topic. Those tweets are usually numbered or connected with a hashtag. In StackRoll, we define Kultwit as a Stack where users can create, edit, and publish those stacks. Organizing a Kultwit requires some preparation, from gathering references to reviewing all the tweets before publishing.

There is also a limit to the stack’s tweets and publishing intervals because we want people to share something without annoying their followers.

2. StackRoll has CrowdBooster and Buffer as its competition. What is your strategy to win against them?

StackRoll is inspired by Buffer. Buffer users will find a similar workflow when using StackRoll. The difference is that users can gather tweets in multiple stacks and an additional action is needed to schedule those stacks. StackRoll is focused on people that want to organize Kultwit.

3. Is StackRoll one of your side projects or are you going to take some serious steps to improve it more and more?

Using StackRoll to schedule a whole bunch of tweets. It's not rocket science, but it's clever and useful stuff.
