The partnership will focus on rolling out its software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, Stack Overflow for Teams, across the country.
Stack Overflow for Teams is a private and secure Q&A platform that helps in a company’s knowledge management. The software provides various pricing schemes for companies of different sizes, including basic, business, and enterprise.
In July, Times Bridge – which is the investment and partnership arm of India’s largest media conglomerate Times Group – participated in an US$85 million series E round of funding in Stack Overflow which was led by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC.
The Indian investment firm will also become Stack Overflow’s sales partner in the country. Times Bridge plans to reach out to sectors, including information technology, consumer tech, telecom, banking, financial services, and insurance, among others.
“India is among our largest and most vibrant user markets but remains largely untapped in the context of our Teams SaaS product,” said Prashanth Chandrasekar, CEO of Stack Overflow.
The SaaS startup claims it has over 200,000 paid users across more than 5,000 teams over several verticals such as engineering, product management, data science, and customer support.
A trade association for the Indian information technology sector expects the country’s SaaS revenue to reach US$3.5 billion by March 2021.
