SotaTek achieves AWS Cloud Operations Competency in Cloud Governance and Monitoring & Observability
VIETNAM – 2 OCT 2026 – Cloud adoption is entering a more operationally demanding phase as enterprises move more business-critical and AI-enabled workloads into production. Managing cost, security, visibility, and reliability is becoming as important as deploying infrastructure itself. Flexera’s 2026 State of the Cloud report found that 85% of respondents cited cloud cost management as a top challenge, 82% pointed to security, while generative AI use in public cloud reached 58%.
SotaTek adds AWS Cloud Operations Competency
Against this backdrop, Vietnam-headquartered technology company SotaTek has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Operations Competency, extending its AWS capabilities into cloud governance and operations. The competency recognizes SotaTek in two specializations: Cloud Governance and Monitoring & Observability.
Cloud Governance focuses on helping organizations maintain control as cloud environments become more complex, including how resources are managed, secured, and governed consistently as systems scale. Monitoring & Observability, meanwhile, centers on visibility across infrastructure and applications, helping teams track system health, identify issues more quickly, and maintain reliability in production.
The AWS Cloud Operations Competency recognizes AWS Partners that demonstrate technical expertise and proven customer success in cloud operations. For SotaTek, the significance lies less in adding another standalone credential than in strengthening its ability to support customers after systems go live, when governance, visibility, and operational consistency become increasingly important.
From architecture to operations: SotaTek expands capabilities across the cloud lifecycle
The Cloud Operations Competency builds on capabilities SotaTek has developed across other stages of the cloud lifecycle, from architecture and software delivery to production operations. Rather than treating these as separate disciplines, the company is building coverage across the points where architectural decisions, deployment practices, security, and day-to-day operations increasingly intersect.
At the architecture stage, SotaTek’s role as an AWS Well-Architected Partner supports its work in assessing workloads and designing environments around principles such as security, reliability, performance, and scalability. The aim is to address architectural risks early, before they translate into operational issues after systems enter production.
That foundation extends into software delivery through the AWS DevOps Services Competency, which SotaTek achieved in 2025. Its capabilities include automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevSecOps practices designed to make software releases more consistent, repeatable, and secure. The newly added AWS Cloud Operations Competency extends that coverage into the post-deployment stage, where organizations need to govern resources, monitor system behavior, and maintain reliability as cloud environments grow.
The practical value lies in reducing gaps between these stages. Architecture influences how applications scale, deployment practices affect how changes are controlled, and monitoring determines how quickly teams can identify and respond to issues in production. Treating them as connected concerns can help create greater continuity as systems evolve.
SotaTek’s work with NoteX, an AI-powered meeting and knowledge platform, provides one example. The company modernized NoteX’s VMware-based infrastructure on AWS, moving production workloads to Amazon EKS while introducing automated scaling, more consistent software deployment, and centralized monitoring. The project improved scalability, reduced routine infrastructure work, and avoided an estimated US$30,000 – 35,000 in additional annual VMware licensing costs.
As cloud and AI-enabled workloads become more complex, the ability to govern, monitor, and operate them effectively will become increasingly important to sustainable scale.
For organizations looking to strengthen these capabilities, SotaTek’s cloud experts can help assess gaps across architecture, software delivery, and operations and identify an approach aligned with their infrastructure and business requirements.
