SmarTots provides app developers with its software developer kit and network to help them build and distribute educational apps through the iPad and iPhone.
It isn’t those silly one-off education apps that we often find in the app store. Rather, SmarTots-enabled apps provide you with reports on how your kids are interacting with these apps. The report greatly adds value to users who are parents with tech savvy kids. It tells you what your kids are doing over time and even shows you areas where your child might improve in some way.
I caught SmarTots’s pitch and thought it was really a good idea, this notion to try to understand a child’s learning progress through the apps they use. SmarTots needed just one sentence to explain the brilliance behind the idea. Apparently, the audience at GMIC also love the application as the team received a warm applause after a simple demonstration.
We will talk to the SmarTots team to learn more about the start-up. Stay tuned.
