Singapore’s first indie games art exhibit opens today!

The Singapore Indie Games Art Exhibition (SIGAX), the first of its kind, opens today in the basement of the National Library’s central building. Organized by PD Design Studio, the same folk who brought you Dusty Revenge, SIGAX will see the following studios exhibit over 50 pieces of artwork:

  • PD Design Studio
  • Secret Base
  • Homebrewz SG
  • Ratloop Asia
  • Ludochip
  • Witching Hours Studio
  • Inzen Studios
  • SUTD GameLab
  • Red Hare Games
  • Springloaded

“SIGAX hopes to raise the profile of video games as a creative industry in Singapore and provide recognition for game programmers, designers and artists through a showcase of locally produced video game arts,” organizers PD Design Studio have written on the event’s Facebook page.

Though the exhibition’s accompanying workshops have already been fully booked, you can still visit the National Library to enjoy this rare treat: indie video game art. SIGAX will run from today until February 27, 2014.

Singapore’s National Library building is at 98 Victoria Street.
