Singapore’s edging her way into popular culture with her latest inclusion in video games: a signboard in the latest Battlefield 4 (BF4) trailer points to Changi Airport.
That’s not the only hint of the little red dot in the game. According to a post on the official Battlefield blog, Asia gets her fair share of the stage in Battlefield 4.
In the Battlefield 4 campaign, China falls to chaos as the US is implicated in the assassination of a Chinese leader. As US soldier Sergeant Daniel Recker, you escape from Shanghai and run to Singapore to rendezvous with the American navy.
While Singapore is a small country, she seems to be featuring more frequently in video games.
A port located in Singapore made up the Cargo multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. More infamously, Bolo Santosi, a character from Just Cause 2, put the island nation on the map with her terrible, Singapore-accent laced voice acting.
But unlike her other cameos, Singapore will be acknowledging this Battlefield 4 one with an official launch event next week.
